Position Description CNC Machinist 1st Shift (Mon-Thur 6:00am-4:30pm) CNC machinists work with computer numeric controlled (CNC) heavy machinery from setup to operation to produce parts and tools from metal, plastic or other materials. Computer numeric controlled equipment is precision machinery that cuts, grinds, or drills into the material. CNC machinists make adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed and path of the cut, as well as make sure the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality product. CNC machinists make sure their machines are working at full capacity, are stocked with needed materials, well-maintained and perform periodic checks on output. They look at the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production. OVERALL DUTIES: Must be able to program, setup, and operate CNC machines Must be able to deburr own parts The right candidate will be reliable, thorough and versatile MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS PLUS EXPERIENCE. Position Description Summary Reviews blueprints, change orders, and other engineering data to maintain revision control of drawings, master parts listings, and other documentation used for inventory control, production planning, scheduling, purchasing, and other related manufacturing activities. Duties • Evaluates engineering drawings, specifications, orders, and related documentation for conformance to established guidelines and initiates requests for changes to ensure compliance with standards. • Reviews engineering data and production related documents to qualify manufacturing processes, tooling, and work holding requirements. • Maintains an electronic library of part drawings and associated manufacturing information to ensure conformance to the latest revision, and eliminate non-conforming documentation. • Identifies and documents revision changes and distributes information to companywide departments and outside vendors, to promote informed throughput of manufacturing processes. • Prepares detailed work instructions for proven manufacturing methods and maintains organized storage of these processes for easy access by others within the organization. • Prepares CAD drawings for fixturing, defining manufacturing requirements, aiding customers with design concepts, and for other manufacturing related assistance. • Produces inspection documents such as bubble drawings and spreadsheets for various inspections required in the manufacturing process (e.g. In-process inspections, first-piece inspections, First Article Inspections, etc.). Qualifications Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of experience related to manufacturing; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiencies Software: SOLIDWORKS CAD; SOLIDWORKS Inspection; Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Skills: Written and verbal communication; organized; attention to detail; team collaboration $16.00+/hour (Based on experience)
