CNC Machinist-Turning


Job Description

Precision, contract machining business is looking for a HIGHLY SKILLED and EXPERIENCED Class "A" Machinist for Turning. Minimum of 10-15 years experience with Mazak Lathe. This position is responsible for setting up and running CNC Machines to produce parts to customer standards. Monitors parts to ensure they are meeting customer specifications. Duties include: • Setup and run CNC Lathe (Mazak) • Interprets blueprints, sketches and engineering specifications • Assist other Operators/Machinists and possess the qualities of a Leader • Determine process, tools, programming (in Mazatrol) and setup Qualifications include: • High School diploma or equivalent • 10-15 years experience, high level Class "A" Machinist. Prefer experience in a Job Shop. • Prefer familiarity with a variety of metals and plastics, and working on parts with very close tolerances. • Ability to inspect own work, troubleshoot and recommend optimal cutting tools a must. • Must be self-directed and have the ability to work with minimal supervision. Manufacturing Estimator


Job Description

Precision Machining contract manufacturer with over 50 CNC machines, including 3/4/5-axis milling, 2-axis & multi-axis turning, Integrex mill/turn and Swiss turning seeks a Manufacturing Estimator to join their growing team. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Review and interpret customer blueprints and other documentation to prepare estimates, machine throughputs, material cost and subcontract services. • Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services and tracking actual costs relative to quote estimates as manufacturing orders are completed. • Obtain quotes from suppliers for materials, components and special process requirements. • Determine manufacturing steps/processes, equipment requirements, programming requirements, setup operations, material, labor, and other items necessary to perform work. • Work with sales, production and quality departments to obtain information to provide accurate quotes and lead times. • Perform production audits to confirm estimates on repeat orders. Education/Qualifications: • 4-year Degree preferred • Experience as a CNC Engineer, Estimator and / or Machinist highly desirable. • Extensive knowledge of 3, 4 and 5 axis milling machines • Knowledge of outside processes such as heat treating and plating • Experience using an MRP or ERP system • Experience with Excel and general Microsoft Office computer skills • Ability to work under pressure, handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines. • Ability to work independently or as part of a team Compensation based on experience

Tool Crib Attendant


Job Description

Precision, contract machining business is looking for an experienced Tool Crib Attendant. This position receives, stores, maintains and issues machine tools, hand tools, cutting tools and general industrial equipment. Responsibilities include: • Issues tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned. • Prepares and maintains inventory of tools and equipment. • Receives, unpacks and stores incoming tools and equipment and requisitions stock to replenish inventory. • Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear, and reports damage to supervisors. • Repairs, services, sharpens, modifies and lubricates tools and equipment. Qualifications we are looking for: • High School diploma or equivalent • Minimum 2-4 years tool crib experience – preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing or machine shop environment. • Must be mechanically inclined and be able to identify different kinds of machine components. • Must be detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy. • Strong computer skills - especially with Excel. • Superior customer service skills. • Well developed interpersonal skills to deal with a diverse employee base.
